POPULAR QUESTIONS

An LED driver is a power supply device specifically designed to provide constant current or constant voltage to LED lights, ensuring stable operation, preventing flickering and overheating, and extending their lifespan.

An LED driver provides constant current or constant voltage output and has overcurrent, overvoltage, and short-circuit protection. Regular adapters mostly provide constant voltage output, which may cause LED flickering or shorten their lifespan..

Common types include constant current (CC) and constant voltage (CV), as well as adjustable and non-dimmable types. The appropriate type must be matched to the type of lighting fixture.

Constant current (CC): Outputs a fixed current, suitable for LED lights connected in series, such as high-power lighting fixtures or LED strip lights.

Constant voltage (CV): Outputs a fixed voltage, suitable for lighting fixtures or LED strip lights connected in parallel.

The driver power should be about 10-20% higher than the total power of the LED lights to ensure margin and stability. For example, a 24W lamp can be paired with a 30W LED driver.

Some LED drivers support dimming, including 0-10V, PWM, and Triac dimming. The lamp itself must be compatible with dimming functionality; otherwise, it may flicker or be damaged.

High-quality LED drivers can have a lifespan of over 50,000 hours. Ambient temperature and heat dissipation conditions will affect lifespan.

LEDs not lighting up, flickering, or unstable brightness; abnormal driver overheating. Common causes include overcurrent, overvoltage, or circuit faults.

Yes, but you need to confirm that the light fixture supports an external driver and that the output parameters match. Some ceiling lights have built-in drivers, which may not be compatible with external drivers.

Yes, but you need to ensure that the output voltage, current, dimming compatibility, and protection rating match; otherwise, you may damage the LED light.
